The American western cowboy has been in existence since the 1800"s. The cowboy has been showcased and romanticized over the years in movies and Wild West shows. However, the cowboy and his horse work very hard. They petrol the wide open ranges in all kinds of weather. The horse and cowboy were the best of friends because each of them needed the other to get the job done. It was not unusual for the cowboy to ride his horse fifty miles in a day.

A New Start for Dallas Cowboys Football Coach Wade Phillips at the Helm 2007

On February 8, 2007, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that Wade Phillips would be taking over as the Dallas Cowboys head coach. A native of Texas, Phillips attended the University of Houston where he spent three years as a starter at linebacker. His coaching career began with the Houston Oilers where he held the position of defensive line coach under head coach O.A. "Bum" Phillips, his father.
